Pension reform influence, defence investments and AI: BREL Forum 2026 to find out how the Baltic real estate grows next
Investment, housing and the future of workplaces lead the agenda in Riga on 15 October. Public voting for the BREL Awards is open until 29 September.
September 18, 2026, Riga, Latvia – Where will the next wave of real estate investment come from and what will convince investors to commit? The Baltic Real Estate Leaders (BREL) Forum returns to Hanzas Perons in Riga on 15 October 2026, bringing together investors, developers and industry leaders to discuss the decisions that will shape the region’s next chapter.
Organised by Colliers Baltics, with Capitalica Asset Management as its main partner, the forum offers a meeting point for the people financing, developing and transforming the Baltic built environment.
The 2026 programme spans the economic outlook, pension reform and investment flows, the rise of local developers, defence-related opportunities, housing affordability and the demographic shifts driving demand, and rental-sector growth. It also examines how AI could change offices, how stronger communities can add value to property, and how women are shaping leadership across the industry.
For participants, the opportunity is to connect the bigger picture with the next business decision: where to invest, what to develop and which assumptions deserve a closer look. The forum brings real estate, finance, law and technology professionals together for a day of knowledge exchange and networking. The 2026 edition brings together 40 local and international speakers across eight panel discussions and two parallel stages, one devoted to future trends in commercial real estate and the other to residential development across the Baltics.
Help decide who deserves a BREL Award
Before the industry meets in October this year, the public can help recognise the developers, projects and transactions making their mark on Latvia’s real estate market.
Public voting for the BREL Awards 2026 is open until 29 September. This year 39 nominees are competing across six categories. The awards combine public choice with an independent professional jury’s assessment, giving both the community and industry experts a voice. Winners will be celebrated at the forum on 15 October.
Explore the nominees, choose the achievements you believe deserve recognition and cast your vote.
