Novira Plaza: A LEED Platinum Landmark in Riga’s Business Centre
Sustainability built into the building
Since September 2026, Novira Plaza has held LEED Platinum certification for design and construction, the highest level of the world’s leading green building standard. Unlike certificates awarded to existing buildings for how they are operated, this one assesses the building itself – its energy systems, materials, water use and indoor environment – from the design stage through to completion. Very few new-build office complexes in Latvia have reached Platinum on this basis. For the companies based here, it means an efficient, healthy workplace and a building that supports their own ESG targets. The Grade A complex occupies an entire city block on Elizabetes, Marijas and Satekles streets, 200 metres from Riga Central Station, directly across from ORIGO and a short walk from the Old Town.
A prime location in a revitalised city centre
Riga’s city centre is regaining its energy. International companies are moving back from the outskirts to be close to clients, talent and transport, and the area around the Central Station is becoming a business district in its own right. Novira Plaza sits at the heart of this change. Its seven-storey buildings have landscaped terraces and courtyards, plus an underground car park with EV charging and bicycle parking. Together they give companies a modern base at one of the best-connected addresses in the Baltics.
85% leased: a diverse tenant community
Occupancy has reached 85%. Offices range from 60 m² to 1,800 m² and retail units start from 100 m², so the complex suits a five-person start-up as well as a regional headquarters. Finance and fintech companies set the tone: Swedbank, Luminor Bank and Bigbank share the address with Dukascopy Europe IBS, GoCardless, Paynt and Vialet. That makes Novira Plaza one of Riga’s densest banking and fintech clusters. For these companies, the tenants next door can be partners, clients or future colleagues, which makes the building a natural place for sharing knowledge, holding joint events and starting new collaborations.
Around this financial core, the community covers every major industry. Professional services are represented by PwC, ZAB Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns, Legal Balance, Zalaris HR Services, Manakabata, Epson Europe Business Services and engineering consultancy Witteveen+Bos, while technology companies include LeverX, SD TECH, GrepRuby, Moon Technologies and LeadProm Media. Transport and energy are represented by Norse Atlantic Airways, Logwin Baltics and EWE Neue Energien, and consumer brands by Apranga, New Yorker, Wolt, Dreame and others. The mix is rounded out by American Councils for International Education, LAVIOLA and New Rosme.
Existing tenants are growing within Novira Plaza
The clearest sign of success is tenants who stay and grow. Three expansions are currently under way, for EWE Neue Energien, GrepRuby and Manakabata, and Zalaris HR Services has already more than doubled its space in the complex, from 750 m² to 1,600 m². Growing companies want more room without changing their address, and Novira Plaza lets them do that.
A street level for the whole city
Novira Plaza’s street level is becoming a destination for the whole city. In autumn 2025 New Yorker opened a store of more than 1,500 m² here – the brand’s second largest store in Latvia and one of the largest retail leases signed in the country that year. Dreame chose Novira Plaza for its only flagship store in Latvia, while Kofeman’s café brings a new coffee brand to the city centre. In May 2026 Swedbank opened a new-concept branch of around 230 m², twice the size of its previous branch nearby, with private consultation rooms and full accessibility.
More is on the way: Tehniskā Ortopēdija is fitting out a modern healthcare clinic with MRI diagnostics, and a bistro from a popular restaurant chain is under construction. With further daily services opening before the end of the year, the building serves both the people who work here and visitors from across the city.
Office options that accommodate changing needs
Every company grows differently, so Novira Plaza offers two options. Ready-to-use offices suit teams that need to move in quickly, while premises that tenants fit out themselves suit companies that want an office built around their own way of working. The highlight is the seventh floor: the finest offices in the complex, with a bird’s-eye view over the rooftops of central Riga.
The Spaces coworking centre in the building adds further flexibility. Its coworking areas, conference centre and meeting rooms give tenants extra room for project teams, client meetings and events without expanding their own lease, and offer future tenants an easy first step into Novira Plaza.
Building the community together
“We are glad to see companies embrace our vision and return to the centre of Riga, where a new central business district is taking shape. Together, we are building a community where businesses can grow,” says Arnas Vedeckis, Member of the Board, Novira Plaza.
LEED Platinum quality, a prime location, a strong community and flexible space make Novira Plaza one of the best business addresses in Riga.
